TRUNCATE Statement

Remove ALL rows from a table or cluster.

Syntax:

   TRUNCATE TABLE [schema.]table 
     [{PRESERVE|PURGE} SNAPSHOT LOG]
        [{DROP | REUSE} STORAGE]

   TRUNCATE CLUSTER [schema.]cluster 
     [{PRESERVE|PURGE} SNAPSHOT LOG]
        [{DROP | REUSE} STORAGE]

The terms "snapshot" and "materialized view" are synonymous.
